A basalt fiber jacket called Rossignol Atelier Course JKT has become a gold winner of ISPO Award 2017.
In 2017 Rossignol presented a number of basalt fiber products to the jury of the world’s largest trade fair for sports business ISPO Munich. Every year the trade fair honours the most exceptional sporting goods establishing trends in the global market.
A reputable jury of ISPO Award granted the gold prize to the Atelier Course JKT jacket produced with reinforcement parts made of carbon/ basalt fabric. This innovative jacket is also equipped with the patented and exclusive technology of a muscle support system inside the jacket and an innovative venting system.
In the same ski class, Rossignol Freerideski Soul 7 got an award. Lightweight and powerful, versatile and easy to control on any slopes due to the advanced patented AIR TIP technology and a new hybrid material composed of basalt and carbon fibers.
Some other sporting goods with basalt fiber were among the company’s products presented in Munich. For example, Rossignol XV Magtek snowboard designed for the advanced to expert ability level and all mountain Rossignol XV Magtek Split splitboard. This line combines basalt with aramid for enhancing board feel, power and stability while absorbing impacts and vibrations.
In a category of women’s snowboards they presented all mountain Rossignol Diva with basalt fiber and Kevlar to reinforce edges. ISPO left it without awards but it came the first in Good Wood Awards along with two eco-friendly Niche snowboards.
