The 14th edition of the international trade fair Composites Europe will traditionally be held in Stuttgart at the Messe Stuttgart Exhibition Center. Foam Expo Europe, the largest trade fair dedicated to the technical foam industry will be held in tandem with Composite Europe.
Both market leaders and start-ups will be provided with an opportunity to find the most useful in the trade fair and numerous special areas, themed guided tours, the International Composites Conference and the Lightweight Technologies Forum which is dedicated to the trends in multi-material lightweight construction.
Reed Exhibitions, a trade show organizer, is expecting over 300 exhibitors and more than 8000 visitors to take part.
The composite industry has become a true innovation driver in various sectors, such as construction, automotive, aerospace, mechanical engineering, marine industries, energy, sports and leisure.
Sharing ideas, experience, and best practices in the international composite community helps to gel the main trends and identify the industry challenges.
Composites Europe 2019 provides a platform where exhibitors will be able to demonstrate novel materials, technical solutions, and applications of fiber-reinforced composite materials. A special role is given to the latest developments in innovative process engineering.
Process live event
Technological processes are exhibited in operation allowing the visitors to view the different individual processes and subprocesses in a real context.
5th International Composites Conference (ICC)
For the first time, this renowned Conference that brings together processors and users of fibre-reinforced plastics from all over Europe will be held in parallel with Composites Europe. This year the partner country of the Conference is the United Kingdom, one of the biggest producers of composites components in Europe.
Themed guided tours: solutions, applications, materials
As a complement to the Conference programme, they are organizing guided tours and hands-on demonstrations in the exhibition halls that revolve around composites application, materials and market.
“Material and Production Technology” special area
It is an event novelty set up under the guidance of the Institute of Plastics Processing (IKV) of the RWTH Aachen University. This special area will trace the path of composites from scientific development to practical, industrial implementation.
Lightweight Technologies Forum
This Forum views itself as a cross-industry and multi-material think tank where all parties involved can reflect on these new concepts. The main purpose is to make it clear how lightweight construction can be achieved in an economical and resource-efficient manner.
Presentation the AVK Innovation Prize
Innovative products and applications in fibre-reinforced plastics, manufacturing processes and the latest insights from research and science, will fight for the prestigious award from the German trade association AVK – Industrievereinigung Verstärkte Kunststoffe e. V. The winners will be announced on the 10th September and the award-winning products and projects will be on display in a special area.
Presentation of the SMB-BMC Design Award
On the 10th September another awarding ceremony will be held: The European Alliance for SMC BMC will announce the winners of the SMC BMC Design Award 2019. It is a design contest focused on students or young design professionals who use SMC (Sheet Molding Compound) and BMC components (Bulk Molding Compound) in their designs. This year Sustainable Mobility is the centre theme.
Career & Composites
With its career & composites stand Composite Europe targets students and graduates who can come here to establish contact with potential employers.
Typically, component producers and solutions developers in basalt composite field bring interesting fresh ideas on basalt fiber application, how it happened at Techtextil and Texprocess. We look forward to seeing Composites Europe this year.
