The industrial machinery to produce rock wool will be supplied by the Italian company.
An automated full-cycle rock wool production line will be supplied by STM Technologies S.r.l. (Italy) following the contract concluded with AKFA Group.
The city of Tashkent will host the production facility being located at the former Tashkent Mechanical Plant site that had occupied over 24 thousand square meters. The new production line is expected to produce up to 6 million sq. m. of rock wool per year.
The modern machinery will allow the factory to manufacture products with strict environmental compliance and high chemical and corrosion resistance.
The first batches of basalt wool branded AKFA Insulation are scheduled for release in 2020. The vast reserves of high-quality raw materials and favorable geographical location contribute to the factory’s prospects of taking a leading position in the domestic market and entering the markets of Central Asia.
Basalt wool is a material used as a thermal and sound insulation for buildings of different types, as thermal insulation in the transportation and machine-building industries, industrial machinery and pipelines. Compared to other material types, mineral wool is expected to win the largest market share in the industrial insulation market.
